The Highlander Institute is a constituent unit of Raja Chengjapao Foundation, a trust established and registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. Based in Manipur’s Kangpokpi District, the institute’s primarily objective is to act as a catalyst in the overall development of the society. Thus the institute act as a resource centre in providing guidance, training, mentoring and financial assistance to individuals and communities sharing similar values as the institute does.
To achieve the above objectives, the institute aims to collaborate with likeminded organisations in conducting workshops, seminars, trainings and outreach programmes to the needy communities. With a strong academic base, the institute also conducts minor research projects of churches and civil organisations from time to time.
