The Highlander Institute is an academic centre founded in 2025. It was instituted under a society/trust registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882, at the Sub-Registrar Office of Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi.
The institute was founded with the sole motive of providing quality education centered around identifying and developing individual talents and abilities by adopting state of art practices.
The General Objectives of the Institute are:
- To impart quality education to students and make them a responsible citizen of the country and the whole humanity
- To inculcate the art of critical thinking to individuals so that it can develop the cognitive abilities to come up with solutions
- To build a generation of able administrators and capable leaders who will show us the path to greater heights
- To develop the spirit of unity and cooperation among individuals, not competition, in the development of society
- To become a premier academic centre that values peace, development, harmony and the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Presently, the Institute is based at Sapormeina in Kangpokpi District, Manipur. Sapormeina is located on the Asian Highway-1 which is about 40 kilometers to the north of Imphal.
